About this calculator

How it works

New salary = current salary × (1 + percent ÷ 100).

If you are paid hourly, the calculator annualizes using your weekly hours × 52 weeks so the comparison is apples to apples.

The annual increase is divided by 12 for monthly, 26 for biweekly and 52 for weekly amounts.

Example

On a $32,000 salary with a 4.5% raise, the new salary is $33,440. That is $1,440 per year, $120 per month, $55.38 biweekly and $27.69 weekly.

Important limitations

  • Results are gross amounts, before taxes and payroll deductions.
  • It does not project changes to benefits, bonuses or retirement contributions.
  • Hourly math assumes 52 working weeks per year.
