Gas Cost Calculator
Enter the trip distance, your vehicle's efficiency and the price per liter — how gas is sold in Puerto Rico. You'll see liters burned, trip cost and the monthly total.
Round trip if that's your case.
km/l = MPG × 0.4251. E.g., 30 MPG ≈ 12.8 km/l.
As shown at the pump.
For a commute, use your working days (~22).

About this calculator
How it works
Liters = distance ÷ efficiency (km per liter). Trip cost = liters × price per liter.
If your vehicle reports miles per gallon (MPG), convert it: km/l = MPG × 0.4251. For example, 30 MPG ≈ 12.8 km/l.
Monthly cost multiplies the trip by the number of trips per month — handy for your commute (a round trip counts as 2 trips, or enter the full distance).
Example
A 30 km trip in a vehicle doing 12 km/l with gas at $0.90 per liter: it burns 2.5 liters and costs $2.25. Repeated 22 times a month, the commute adds up to $49.50.
Important limitations
- Real-world efficiency varies with traffic, load, A/C and driving style.
- Per-liter prices change by station and by week; use the price you see at your pump.
- Tolls (AutoExpreso), maintenance and depreciation are not included.
